It's A New Year

Well it's 2008 and my goal to have something finished by the new year hasn't quite happened yet. I'm not stressed about it...yet. Nice word "yet". I do plan on finishing the work in progress, after I delete the latest crap I wrote. It's what sent me to the wall. It's been awhile since I had any writing goals at all hence me being rather lenient on the whole "finish in the new year." The new year's not gone yet!

San Francisco conference is not going to happen. At all. There's a reason for that: I'm spending the money on a trip elsewhere. I can't even feel guilty about that. I guess I still haven't recovered from New York '04 when I was surrounded by 2000 other romance writers...all who wanted my job. I'm not much on people so to be surrounded by that many people at once was a little overwhelming. I'm not keen to repeat the experience if I'm honest.

I suppose in the end attending a conference isn't that high on my priority list. Finishing the freaking manuscript is.
