Despite being an RWA drop-out (money issues as in...I have none.) I'm contemplating attending the RWA National Conference in 2008 despite the fact that registration for a non-member is $500 US. (It's $425-ish for members. Logically I could renew though it's about $100 to do so...not saving any pennies there.) First the flight will be infinitely shorter than the one to New York in 2004. Second I could probably beg and plead (depending on where she lives - I mean if she's a long haul from the hotel no point in that!) the use of my friend's air mattress for that week as opposed to paying the (no doubt) outrageous hotel fee.
Hm. Things to ponder as I count out my pennies.
